Missoula Housing Authority Welcomes Craig Stahlberg as New CFO

MISSOULA – Thursday, July 18, 2024 – Missoula Housing Authority (MHA) announced today that the organization hired Craig Stahlberg as the Chief Financial Officer. With over three decades of experience in financial accounting and a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a Master of Science in Business Analytics, Stahlberg brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

“We are excited to welcome Craig to the Missoula Housing Authority,” Sam Oliver, Executive Director said. “Craig’s blend of experience, leadership skills, and strong financial acumen will serve MHA’s mission well as we continue to grow and innovate in the coming years.”

Stahlberg’s position as Chief Financial Officer is essential to support the Missoula Housing Authority's $18 million annual budget and forty-seven employees. The creation of this position aligns with the organization's goals to sustain recent successful growth and ensure financial health into the future. MHA's assets have grown to $70 million following the completion and opening of Montana's two largest affordable housing projects in 2023.

A University of Montana alumnus, Stahlberg remains an active presence in his community beyond his professional pursuits. He dedicates his time to various roles, notably as a board member with the American Red Cross of Montana and serving as the most recent Board Chair. Additionally, Craig has been a member of Sentinel Kiwanis for twenty-eight years, contributing to efforts supporting local youth programs and activities.

Craig is from Kalispell, Montana, and lives in Missoula with his wife, Julie.
