Silvertip Apartments has Section 8 rental assistance attached to eight 1-bedroom units. Applicants must be very low-income (50% of Area Median Income or below). The tenant pays 30% of their income towards rent.

Located on the banks of the Clark Fork River in the mouth of Hellgate Canyon, the Silvertip Apartments boast incredible 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. The Silvertip is a 115-unit community comprised of 58 one-bedroom units and 57 two-bedroom units.
Recently constructed in 2012, each unit comes equipped with a washer and dryer and a dishwasher, as well as all other basic appliances. Each unit also comes with a secure storage closet for keeping extra belongings. The property covers the cost of heat, water, sewer, garbage and recycling, which means that tenants are only responsible for the cost of their own electricity. There's easy access to the river trail system and there are two on-site playgrounds for kids. Gas stations and a grocery store are just blocks away, the University of Montana is just across the river, bus routes are nearby and downtown Missoula is within walking distance.

IMPORTANT: If your name comes to the top of the list, you will be notified via mail. MHA recommends you keep in contact with us by logging into your online account from time to time. You also need to update your mailing address if it changes. Every year, MHA sends correspondence to your MAILING ADDRESS on file asking if you wish to remain on the waiting list. If your mailing address is not kept up to date and you do not respond to your mail, you will be removed from all waiting lists.
